It is very difficult to build a home business online or any other business for that matter if you can’t see yourself doing it forever.

I know forever is a word that scares a lot of people but if you can’t see yourself building your business for a long period of time then you simply have a hobby that you are doing for fun.

If that is the case your bank account will usually reflect that!

That means you should understand that the money you make or don’t make would be a reflection of those decisions.

I believe the hardest thing for a new entrepreneur to grasp is that their business can make them millions of dollars. If you are focused, develop skills and work your business like it’s your career anything is possible.

Below are a few things you can do to make sure you don’t fail in your business because you are treating it like a hobby.

1. Complete The Products You Buy: If you have products or trainings that you have purchased, make sure you finish them! Master them with the intent to teach the information to others. If you do you will get better results from the content and you will attract leaders into your organization. This will ensure it does not sit on your shelf like most people treat their hobbies.

2. Schedule Your Day: Most people do not have a schedule and simply don’t know what to do next. Because most people are used to working a 9 to 5 and being told what to do and when to do it, this is why scheduling your day is very important to your overall success. Otherwise you will fall into what I call hobby habits and that is a recipe for disaster.

3. Find Other Go Getters Who Hold You Accountable: It is a lot easier to build a business when you have other people working with you. When you network with others your goal should be to bring the most value to the table. If you do that, the people you are networking with will do the same and you will all get better. That means more money and more successful careers for all of you!

If you want the home business industry to be your career it really starts with a decision. Think about all of the people out there who are struggling or who want to work with someone who is committed to getting better.

So if you are serious about making the home business industry your career, write the word career on a piece of paper an next to it write the work hobby. Set a reminder on your phone for 12 months from today. In 12 months I want you come back to that paper and circle which category your business will falls in. Will you circle hobby or career?

What I look for is consistency in the marketer that I am following. You see the problem with spammers is that action normally does not last long. The spammer quickly see’s that spamming does not work so they quit!

Who wants to gamble with their business all day and hope and pray someone clicks on your and buys.

Spamming is something that experienced marketers don’t like but we often see a lot of people doing it and we know it does not work. Chances are the person spamming has no idea that what they are doing is wrong.

Let’s face it, to a newbie, it makes sense to just put your link everywhere and hope and pray that someone actually clicks on it.

The biggest problem that I see from newbie marketers when they get started is they think they have to get rich over night. They learn a strategy and then they are quick to promote it to try to make money with it quickly. This is a major problem that I feel new network marketers miss when they get started because they don’t realize the value of the information you have. So they never realize their full potential or experience the full power of what it is that they are learning.

But if you are going to be a successful it is important that you recognize that in the beginning and focus on the people who are interested in getting better and building their business.

If not every time a person says something or reacts in a way you don’t like it will set you back and cost you valuable time that you could be working with a person who really wants to learn.

Everyday I wake up trying to figure out more ways to help people get targeted traffic for their business. When done correctly 10 out of 10 times a person will generate leads. Yes 100% of the time when you use my traffic methods you will generate some leads.

But there are moments when people implement my marketing strategies and they don’t get the results they expect and they get upset. When I first got into this industry I would get defensive, but now I understand that everyone is different. The fact is, there are so many situations and circumstances that a person may experience that may cause them to get different results than I get.

So now instead of feeling frustrated, I actually look for those moments in my students to help find solutions for other students who may be going through something similar.

The moment you become O.K with the fact that some people will not like you even though you are trying to help them your business will grow!

1. People can no longer see themselves in you: When your friends or others see you progressing and your drive surpasses what they can see themselves doing, this can cause friction in a relationship.

2. You Will Change: Money and success does not change you, but it does change whom you hang around. You will find yourself hanging around more people who have the same drive and motivation as you! This also can cause friction.

The key to everything is remain aware of your surroundings, what you are doing and how the people around you are feeling and make sure you communicate accordingly.

Yesterday I had the chance to spend an entire day with Mark Hoverson. If you have ever wondered what a million dollar day would be like I would have to say I had one yesterday.

The VALUE that was shared and the friendships that were made were priceless.

If you don’t know Mark Hoverson, he is a person who has made millions of dollars online and is one of the most respected leaders in our industry.

I don’t think I really have words to describe Mark Hoverson. He is unique and almost mysterious to be truly honest with you. His ability to connect and feel what a person is experiencing is something that you can’t explain but you can truly see when you are around him.

He way on communicating and connecting with his audience is on another level.

Yesterday we spent the entire day masterminding and really talking about business for the first time. I’ve know Mark for several years and have spent a lot of time with him but we never talked a lot about business.

But during our visit yesterday, let’s just say there were a bunch of million dollar ideas being thrown around but more importantly a deeper friendship was developed.

What a lot of people don’t know about Mark is that he mentors a lot of young kids who came over to my house last night for a mastermind.

The impact that he is having on our youth has the power to change the world! I have never been more inspired and impressed in my life.

These EE kids which by the way is a secret society of empowered entrepreneurs flat out blew me away!

I have never seen so many kids that young act more like adults in my life.

They were very respectful and far wiser than their age. Many of them brought welcome gifts to my home as they came in. I was blown away!

All I can say is that yesterday was one day to remember and truly one that I will never forget.

1. Communication Must Be Felt And Swift. That means we are all tied to our emotions and feeling so tap into your customers emotions but don’t’ be long winded while doing it!

2. Information Be Plentiful Even In Small Burst: That means the human brain can take in more information than you think especially over short amounts of time. This process is even better when you experience short burst of adrenaline. So doing something like push ups before reading can help you retain and keep more information.

3. Sometimes What’s Best For The Customer Is Not What The Customer Wants: The means give the customer what they want while steering them where you want them to go!

These are my biggest takeaways with my time with Mark Hoverson! I only wish more people could have experienced what I experienced yesterday!

I will give you an example. I had a person tell me yesterday that he was disappointed in the fact that he had received 300 clicks and he had not made sales. So he had determined that the funnel and system was not working.

So my first thought was, how do you come up with the conclusion that something does not work just because someone didn’t buy the second they clicked on your page.

The truth is, what he is doing ABSOLUTELY works because he has received clicks, his problem is what is happening after they click on his page or the perception he gave the customer before they clicked his offer.

The hardest part of business is managing expectations! If you want to be great at business it will take time so don’t give up  when things get tough, keep developing more skills.

It will only make you stronger!
